Big Emotions

Sometimes the way we feel can overwhelm us. When we can’t explain how we feel, or shake the feeling, we can call these our “Big Emotions”.

Big Emotions can include worry, anxiety, fear, frustrations, anger, and excitement.

Big Emotions are not bad emotions, but sometimes they may take a little bit more work to understand and manage. It’s important to remind your child that it is okay to feel how they feel, but that we don’t want our big emotions to be the only way we feel all the time.
